Our Family is Filling Buckets!
Our family is filling buckets! Yep, filling buckets! Little Miss Muffet was taught about filling/emptying buckets (of kindness & self-esteem) last year during her first year of Preschool! We've hung onto the tenets of that teaching, and decided to take it to a tangible level for Little Jack Horner! There are a couple of books on the topic, but my kids seem to relate to this one! "How Full is your Bucket for kids," by Tom Rath & Mary Reckmeyer. If you've never heard of this idea before, the basic idea is that we all have a bucket & it can be filled or emptied by our circumstances & the way we treat others. My children are typical siblings - they bicker, they fight & they forgive. We want to work to decrease the bickering and fighting!
